Why did the current process of getting new glasses or contacts require separate visits to an eye doctor’s office and an unaffiliated eyewear retailer?

Why did local eye doctors offer a limited inventory of glasses, and why did eyewear retailers provide limited vision health services?

Why couldn’t patients experience comprehensive eye care and a wide selection of eyewear options under the same roof?

From this philosophy, MyEyeDr. was born. Our mission: to bring together a focus on eye health with the expertise of that you can see, look and be your best you.

We asked ourselves how we could make the vision care process easier for both eye doctors and patients. The Body Bar is a full-service piercing studio and body jewelry retailer.

Our piercers are certified and licensed through the Virginia State Board of Cosmetology, The Department of Professional and Occupational Regulations. They are certified in First Aid, CPR, Blood-Bourne Pathogens, and are up-to-date on all required immunizations. Additionally, both piercers go above and beyond in client relations and take their time explaining the piercing process and aftercare:

We pride ourselves on creating a calm, relaxing, spa-like environment, while maintaining and executing STRICT sterilization standards and practices. Every piece of equipment (clamps and receiving tubes) goes through an ultrasonic cleaner (a machine that uses ultrasound to remove microscopic debris from the small crevices,) an Autoclave (a machine that uses high-pressure steam to sterilize,) and equipment that cannot be autoclaved due to structure and size (surface areas, chair, and trays) is sterilized using Madacide (Hospital-grade germicidal solution.)

All equipment and/or instruments that are NOT reusable (Piercing Needles, Biopsy punches, gloves, dental bibs, etc.) are disposed of in appropriate containers, including a sharps medical waste container for all used needles and biopsy punches.

The jewelry we use to pierce is from Metal Mafia. Metal Mafia uses only the highest quality metals with certifications from Swarovski Elements, Fort Wayne Metals, Dynamet, Timet, and S&amp;S Grinding Inc. Metallurgists.
