As temperatures begin to drop, thousands in Hampton Roads struggle to stay warm. WAVY-TV 10 is proud to continue its mission of helping those in need through our 10 On Your Side Coats for Families drive.

From now until December 29, 2024, Patrick Henry Mall will be collecting donations of new and like-new coats. Donation bins are located near each entrance of the mall and at center court. 

Join us for the Live Event Fridays with our Super Doppler 10 Meteorologists from 4 – 7pm on November 8th and 15th, as well as December 6th and 13th. For a full list of drop-off locations and Live Event information, click here 

For more than three decades, WAVY-TV 10 has remained the only local news station in our region helping those in need by collecting coats for people of all ages and sizes. For many families, a warm coat is more than just warmth—it offers protection, comfort, and the assurance that their community cares.

Coats for Families is further powered by Albano Cleaners and Harrison’s by Apple Moving. Each week, Harrison’s collects coats from 10 On Your Side donation locations while Albano Cleaners ensures that gently used coats are cleaned.

With the help of the community and our partners, Hampton Roads families will have the opportunity to receive a coat and stay warm this winter.
