After collecting more than 15,000 pounds of food and over 28 thousand dollars for the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore, WAVY-TV 10 is heading to the Peninsula. The station On Your Side is proud to announce the Feeding Hampton Roads food collection event benefiting the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank, taking place on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Patrick Henry Mall parking lot in front of Red Robin.

This one-day event continues our ongoing commitment to support families facing food insecurity across Hampton Roads. Community members are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to the drop-off location.

Every donation, big or small, makes a meaningful difference.

In addition to food donations, WAVY-TV 10 will again be accepting monetary contributions through a secure link available on WAVY.com. These funds will go directly to the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank to help purchase fresh produce, healthy items, and other essentials that are often in short supply. “Our viewers consistently demonstrate how much they care about their community,” said Carol Ward, Vice President and General Manager of WAVY-TV 10. “The success of our Southside food drive was inspiring, and this new effort on the Peninsula is another meaningful way for us to unite and help make sure no one in our community goes hungry.”
